Apple Suggests New Screen Resolution/Size via Auto Layout App Development Feature
Apple has implemented a new auto layout feature allowing for higher resolutions in app development. Does this suggest a possible iDevice of a different size? An iPad mini perhaps?
The original iPhone launched in 2007 was only designed to support one and only one screen resolution. With the release of the greater and brighter Retina displays on the iPhone 4 and the new iPad, as well as the brand new Retina Macbook Pro, Apple has had to make adjustments in its software to support higher resolutions.
Unfortunately, this has left Apple restricted when it comes to screen size and device size. But, it seems that Apple has introduced a feature in the upcoming IOS 6 that will allow developers to configure applications to adapt to screen resolutions of all sizes.
